Donation Collection for Mrs. Christensen's Family

9/17/2020

Dear Parents and Teachers,

It saddens our hearts to hear about the recent passing of Mrs. Christensen, our beloved first grade teacher. Requested by many, PTA has set up a Gofundme website to collect monetary donations for Mrs. Christensen's family.

Here's the website:  https://www.gofundme.com/f/mrs-lauren-christensen-memorial

Please spread the words and forward the link to anyone who is interested in helping her family monetarily.

Thanks.

Memorial Book for Lauren Christensen's family

9/13/2020

Hello Noelani Ohana. We are all saddened by passing of beloved 1st grade teacher Lauren Christensen. Kristen Brummel, Lauren's co-worker, is putting together a memorial book for Mrs. Christensen's family. If you have any pictures of her or her class, memories, student drawings, or other scanned memorabilia, please click on bit.ly/MrsChristensen. (We will not publish the photos on the website, they will be for the Memorial Book only.)  Thank you very much.

From Kristen Brummel:
"Lauren Christensen was a beloved first-grade teacher at Noelani Elementary School for 15 years. During that time, she cared for and nurtured hundreds of our children while teaching them how to read, solve problems, collaborate, grow in confidence, and be kind and compassionate friends to one another. Our children loved learning with their Mrs. Christensen- she made them feel safe, valued and respected every single day. Mrs. Christensen was truly a part of our families, as she made sure to attend a personal extra-curricular activity for each of her students, cheering alongside us at hundreds of sports games and recitals over the years."

Noelani T-Shirt Fundraiser!

9/10/2020

The Noelani T-Shirts can be purchased at this link below:
noelanielementarypta.itemorder.com/sale

Noelani T-Shirt sales are one of our major safe, socially- distanced fundraisers as our Annual Children's Craft Fair is cancelled this year due to COVID.  The school year has been removed, so this t-shirt will be used for a couple of years for field trips and events. rather than changing to a different t-shirt next year. It's a great gift for grandparents, aunties, and uncles! It's also wonderful for chaperones to wear during field trips and events! It's also a great way to show your support for your child!

Pay your yearly Noelani PTA Membership Dues AND get a matching contribution from the Foodland Give Aloha Program!

9/10/2020

Hi all!

Welcome back! School does look a little different this year, but some things remain the same, like our yearly PTA membership dues.  The best way to pay Noelani PTA dues is through the Foodland Give Aloha Program because Foodland and the Western Union Foundation will match your contribution! How does this magic work you ask?

Step 1 - Go to Foodland before September 30. At the normal checkout or the customer service desk, inform the cashier that you would like to donate to the Give Aloha Program. (You can ask for a second receipt from the cashier at this time.)

Step 2 - Pay for your food like normal, and when prompted by the sales clerk, give them the code
77669.

Step 3
-
Fill out the PTA Membership form, or pick one up from the office.

Step 4 - Affix your Foodland Receipt with the Give Aloha contribution to the completed PTA Membership form.

Step 5 - Mail or drop off the completed form and receipt at the Noelani Main Office.!

Done!

Thank you! You have completed the first step of the year to ensuring the quality, (and now safety) of your child's education! As always, your  contribution to the Noelani PTA is tax deductible!

Click here for more information about the Foodland Give Aloha program.

Foodland's Give Aloha Program ends September 30th, 2020.
